  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

I am cosplaying Harley Quinn from the DC Bombshell series and more accurately her second iteration with the hammer instead of the bomb. I am Manda Cowled a Canadian cosplayer who loves Comics, Anime, Video Games and dressing up at cons.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

I started out cosplaying Harley Quinn and have now made or wore approx 9 different Harley outfits. The Bombshell was made last year when the statues came out because I thought she looked amazing and was a new version of her looking closer to the Harley I know and love compared to the butchered version that was currently in New 52.

  • How did you put it all together?

This costume is a combination of found pieces, make up, painting and prop work. The only pieces made on this specific costume are the belt, hammer and cork gun, though the coat and bra are modified.

We used leather paint on the coat and the bra is covered in fabric to make it more Harley. The hammer we decided to make the week of and its made from a cement tube, insulation foam and Eva foam. And a lot of paint.

I even painted the Joker on one side and have Kevin Conroy sign the other. :)

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

My name is Miles Hill, and the character that I'm dressing up as is Black Dynamite from his famous kung fu scenes.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

I personally love both the film and animated TV show "Black Dynamite."  I'm very passionate about martial arts, and the actor who portrays Black Dynamite is an amazing martial artist, and my idol.  I wanted to cosplay something that allowed me to express both my love for a character, and my love for martial arts, so I thought this would be perfect.

  • How did you put it all together?

Putting it together really was not all that hard.  I already had the pants and nunchucks from my own martial arts training.  I just had to get a kung fu sash, afro wig, headband, and fake mustache.  Overall it was relatively simple to put together.  Of course, the hardest part was probably the hours and years I've put into training and working out to have a body similar to the characters.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

The Cosplay is Big Barda Beyond. I go by Armenian Amazon.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

I usually cosplay wonderwoman variants, but after reading and watch

more comics about Big Barda, wonderwoman and supergirl, I realized how

much Barda's character speaks to me. She has had a dark past, but she

is stronger for it, and she doesn't sugarcoat things. She is who she

is. Take it or leave it.

  • How did you put it all together?

I hand sewed all the embellishments onto the costume, drafted the

pattern and sewed the whole thing by myself. It was my first time

making a bodysuit and using 4 way stretch material.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

My cosplay name is NTG Cosplay, but my real name is Nate, and I'm dressing up as a Blastoise Gijinka, aka Battlefield Blastoise

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

My inspiration was my love of that particular pokemon when I was younger. As i started getting into cosplay, Blastoise was on my list of pokemon to cosplay as, but looking around at previous cosplays, i saw some rather...uninspired cosplays. So i decided to put a spin on it and reimagine Blastoise as a battlefield soldier, but instead of real guns I'll have a water gun lol.

  • How did you put it all together?

As far as putting it all together, I just needed to match the blue/white/tan color scheme of Blastoise, get a water gun and paint it accordingly, create a shell that i'd attach to my back made from PVC pipe & insulation foam, and add some pokeball-colored grenades which would hint to people who don't immediately get it that I'm a pokemon lol.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

I am Angel Tustison and I am dressed as Maleficent.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

To make my daughter happier. And we both are dressed in the same theme. We both love Maleficent so much.

  • How did you put it all together?

My daughter Breanna and I search online for it. We put the peaces together.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

Hello I am Breanna Tustison and I am dress up as Mal.  The daughter from Maleficent from 'Decedents'

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

I had to go to different places to get all the peaces for my costume, but my mami helped me to get my hair and make up just like Mal!!

  • How did you put it all together?

I was able to find all my things online and a few on a store in NYC. My mama did everything to make this possible for me. I am so Happy we did it!!

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

I am dressing up as Scott Pilgrim and my name is Zack Lubow.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

The first time I saw Scott Pilgrim vs the World in theaters, I fell in love.  Such a vivid, detailed, colorful movie.  I saw it 13 times in the theater and bought it on blu ray.  I bought all the books and memorized the lines, and I've re-read the series about six times now.  What an incredible, memorable series.

  • How did you put it all together?

Most of the costume was very easy: Scott has ordinary shaggy hair and wears plain clothes - a band t-shirt, a jacket with the x-men logo, and a name tag.  The only hard part was laminating my name tag and getting the glowing sword.  A friend of mine made this sword for me out of a light-up toy sword and plastic folder covers!

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

I am dressed as Mememe! from the music video, Mememe! I am Sayakat Cosplay.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

The video the character is from. The character starts off looking cute, but is actually really creepy and weird, and that's always a fun twist on something that externally looks cutsey.

  • How did you put it all together?

Except for the shoes, everything was made (or altered) by me. The dress was a custom pattern, and is fully lined with a back zip. The gloves and stockings were made by me, and the wig is from Epic Cosplay Wigs. I cut it, styled it, and added fiber from Arda to it. I also do all of my own makeup.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

My name is Axel Maurer and I am dressed up as Yami Yugi from Yu-gi-oh

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

Yami Yugi is strong and confident and as a child I really looked up to him. Anytime I was afraid or felt insecure, I looked to Yami as a role model. Despite the rough times Yami Yugi has been through , and loosing his memory, he never gives up on himself , Yugi, or His friends. Yami also holds good leadership qualities which reminds me of myself .

  • How did you put it all together?

First thing I decided to tackle on this project was making the millennium puzzle , I took card board and made a pyramid shape, glued and taped it all together painted it and used Model Magic to make the details.

Second I made the Cape/Jacket, I made a pattern of a cape and specifically mad it to the correct length for my measurements then I sewed on a collar and attached fake sleeves so the cape would look like a jacket.

Third thing I tackled was the wig, i had a base wig and then for the spikes I used craft foam shaped into a cone and then glued hair from the base wig and wefts around it until it was covered with black hair, I then took red hair wefts and glued them around the sides spikes using both tacky glue and hot glue. The blonde bang prices were made by gluing blonde wefts to lightning bolt shapes that I cut out of craft foam. I then glued and sewed those onto the wig and it was done.

The collar and bootswere things I already had, and I had bought the leather pants.

  • Who are you dressing-up as, and what is your name?

My name is Ashley Scott, & the character I dressed up as was Arsenal (or speedy, as everyone called me), from Arrow.

  • What inspired you to make the outfit?

I was inspired to make this outfit because I'm passionate about this character, as I always cosplay characters that I really love, connect with, and/or enjoy watching.

  • How did you put it all together?

I designed my cosplay myself. It is my own twist on Arsenal's suit. I have been sewing for quite some time now and started using my skills to create costumes. So I put together everything from materials I found either in stores or online. The bow I used, however, is my brother's. He just let me spray paint it. Everything else is essentially from scratch.
